What a bitterly ironic outrage it is that I must petition the SEC to request that it undertake common sense action on behalf of the public it has been entrusted to protect!

Institute a rule NOW that requires publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all of their political spending. There is NO EXCUSE for not instituting this rule NOW!

The Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission was a slap in the face of ethics, the American ideals that founded this country, and especially the middle class!

Shareholders and the public have a right to know how much corporations spend on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC’s web site. MAKE THIS HAPPEN NOW!!
