Dear SEC Members,
I am writing to ask you to rule on publicly traded corporations to force them to disclose their political donations.
Corporations are not "people" and it behooves the SEC and the American public to know whom corporations are supporting politically. The shareholders
must be fully informed, as well, as to which candidates the corporation is promoting (or attacking!).
Furthermore, since corporations will not want to do this, it would be in the best interest of the American public, if the SEC posted the disclosures on the SEC's web site. That way, it could be done in a timely manner, and the SEC could compel corporations to report to the committee within a specific time frame, or be fined.
I hope you will consider my suggestion. Thank you.
