Quite obviously, publicly traded corporations should be *required* to disclose all of their political donations to shareholders. This will a.) alert shareholders as to whether or not their investment money is going to political causes they may disagree with and b.) allow the public to see which corporations are spending money to influence white politicians. Clearly full disclosure of the origin of political donations is the best practice a democracy wishing to be governed by its own people.
