Subject: File No. 4-637
From: Robert Murphy

I am a retiree who depends on income from self-directed investments in publicly-traded corporations for the majority of my income.

As part owner of these corporations, I feel very strongly that all corporate political spending (including donations to advocacy groups such as the National Chamber of Commerce) should be publicly disclosed. Information on political donations made on MY behalf is every bit as important to me in making my investment decisions as information on corporate compensation packages.

I urge the SEC to require that political spending be made available and easily accessible on the web starting this year, and also required to be included on Form 10-K. I also urge the SEC to be diligent in enforcing compliance.
