If there is any major issue that both progressive Democrats and Tea Party Republicans agree on, it is that the confluence of money and power in Washington DC is a huge impediment to legislation and administrative decisions that represent the will of the People (ALL of US).
I encourage the SEC to do whatever it can to reduce or eliminate political donations that enable financially powerful interests to hide their involvement while actively and knowingly distorting the truth as they "inform" the public. This is no good. It has to stop. Please close the loopholes and force all to reveal themselves and the extent of their involvement.
