"I am writing to urge the Securities and Exchange Commission to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending – and to do so this year."

I don't generally sign "canned" petitions. You already know the issue: Without question, this disclosure is essential, for both political and economic reasons. YOU are in charge, not the CEOs, not the shareholders, not the lenders, and certainly not the politicians, elected or otherwise. It is NOT in the interest of shareholders to be spending money for ANY purpose without accountability.
