The current review of increasing the fiduciary responsibility of broker dealers is not needed. The current regulations already protect the consumer. There will never be enough laws to stop those who choose to take advantage of clients or to stop greed based investing looking for minimal risk with unrealistic expectations of high returns. Another level of regulation will only increase taxes and ultimately cost the consumer reducing returns.
The system as is has all the tools and teeth to protect the consumer.
We already spend extensive time and money to comply with current laws.
Please enforce the current programs and DO NOT add another layer of redundant oversight and paperwork.
