Please do not add anymore layers of governmental jusidiction. Americans don't want to be micromanaged. In the securities business we are already regulated by FINRA and our own broker dealers. Over the years FINRA has done a good job by looking forward, trying to nip problems in the bud. They do this through things like audits and publishing court cases where brokers have stepped over the line. Crooks by their very nature are devious and another governmental agency with more regulations will not stop them. It will only create more government, more regulation, increase the government debt, and will not improve, to any significant manner, the problem they are trying to fix.

A better solution is to give more money to FINRA. It will be cheaper and more effective.
