I am in my 35th year as an agent selling predominately risk-based products from major life and health insurance companies in order to help people protect themselves, their families, their businesses, their estates, and their dreams.I have always put the clients' needs and wants first and foremost regardless of the type of product that I ultimately sell them.
The suitability standard has been working just fine in my practice. In recent years there has been an increased amount of time and money spent in order to remain in compliance with FINRA regulations. This forward looking process has worked and is working well.I think it would be a mistake to impose the fiduciary standard on us,which would create yet another layer of redundant and expensive regulation. Suitability works more than adequately for my clients and for me.
Thank you.
