To Whom It May Concern:
I do know the difference between investment adviser and broker. Having had experience in the business as both investor- client and employed as a broker I believe that either category can be and is influenced by commissions/remuneration.
Under present circumstances, status, laws, and conditions it is and always will be incumbent upon the investor to use his/her best judgement to decide upon the individual with the most experience, highest degree of expertise, and least influenced in this extremely important decision making process.
An informed investor knows the difference between the titles of broker, dealers, and investment advisers. I don't think titles matter much. Nothing replaces good judgement of character. Compare it to our political leaders in local, state, federal government
