I strongly believe that a fiduciary standard should apply to brokers who provide personalized investment advice to retail clients. The public must have a greater assurance that they can trust advice from an advisor. If the financial services industry is to retain credibility and function effectively for the public / customer there must be a better balance. Currently, profit motives drive recommendations rather than honest financial analysis. Thank you for addressing this key issue.
