There is an unreasonable and unfair distinctiion between the individuals that serve the public as Registered Reps and the individuals that are considered "financial advisors" or even bank personnel. I appreciate the need to protect the public and the need for educated individuals to act as such. I believe the current standards we as RRs are adhering to are very adequate and to increase the sanctions and checkoffs to an unrealistic level will be unreasonable and unenforcable by current agency personnel. Please reconsider this non stop attack on our industry and start making the competition play by the same rules. I know of situations that so called "advisors" are taking their client's monies and give them no reports to view or feedback to review. I would have been stripped of my license and heavily fined if i was even "accused" of treating a client this way. Please stop protecting one area of financial advisors from being accountable and adhering to standards in integrity.
