Moving from a free/liquid market, to an environment with individual stock price controls is nontraditional. We are discussing the regulation of the largest market in history. Please tread lightly. Most "experts" proposing drastic reforms to basic market functionality are ill informed. Though, the flash problems need to be resolved with an emphasis on maintaining liquid pricing for market activity, and all market participants. The aberration, was a problem, and solving it with tradition in mind is paramount. The farther we get from the traditional regulations of the exchange, the more risk we will incur in the marketplace.
