I am writing to express my concerns about the SEC's ongoing review of Rule 12b-1.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A FORM LETTER.
I believe that the process has lost sight of the rule's original purpose. We have moved so far from that point in time, that the continuation of 12b-1 fees may no longer make sense. Perhaps representatives should be called upon to document the services they perform while collecting these fees.
As a result, I urge the SEC to allow Rule 12b-1 to review this issue without undue pressure from lobbying groups on either side of the debate.
