My name is Jim Harbridge and I am from Wisconsin. I am an insurance and series 6 licensed professional and have been dealing with clients for 20 years. I am totally against the elimination of 12b-1 fees and am for clearer information and disclosure of the 12b-1 fee. I meet and go over most of my clients investments on an annual basis and attempt make sure their choices are suitable for them. I update beneficiaries, request withdrawls, change investments, change address's, discuss family issues, discuss taxation issues and withdrawl strategies, and many more issues. I have never had a client complain about how I am paid because I provide a service. Should a doctor be paid only for his initial consultation? Also, for those who wish, they may buy a no load fund and not pay a 12b-1 fee. 12b-1 fees help to compensate representatives for their time, knowledge, and service that we provide to our clients.
