I am an investor and financial planner looking for simple ways to know how much I and the clients of my firm pay for mutual fund expenses compared to the fund's performance within a given time period. Having mutual fund statements that show period expenses as a line item would be highly beneficial. When clients ask how much they paid in mutual fund fees, which more clients are doing, I can only provide an estimate, based on calculations which I hope are accurate.
