I am a private investor who manages my wife's and my mutual fund investments. I endorse the recommendation that mutual fund companies disclose the cost of fund management in dollars and cents on each customer's account statement. I can do the math on percentages but the mutual fund companies can program their computers to do the same thing. Companies that object are probably concerned that their customers will have second thoughts about investing in a fund that pays managers too high a fee.
