A simple way to provide visibility to mutual fund costs is a GOOD thing. E.g., I would like to see the following in the quarterly statement for each of my mutual accounts (held in my 401K):

(A) Shares and Amount at the start of the period
(B) Shares and Amount at the end of the period
(C) Shares and Amount additions during the period
(D) Shares and Amount reductions during the period
(E) Expense ratio
(F) Transaction expense amount (including all kinds fees) during the period

With this information, I can see that B = A + C - D - F

Thanks,
Sesh
