I hope you will approve IEX's application to become a National Securities Exchange with a protected quotation. I first became aware of IEX when I read Flash Boys by Michael Lewis and was appalled by the predations of high frequency traders and how they harm the rest of us. I want to use the IEX router to keep my trades from being front-run. Your approval of IEX's application will make an important statement about protecting the millions of long-term investors like me.
