(NYSE: FDO) reported that net sales for the four weeks ended May 27, 2006, increased 10.7% to approximately $489.9 million from $442.5 million for the four weeks ended May 28, 2005. Comparable store sales for the four-week period increased approximately 4.5%. The Company had 6,073 stores as of May 27, 2006, including 30 new stores opened in the fiscal May period.
