On July 22, 2020, BioNTech SE (the “Company”) issued a press release, announcing that the Company and Pfizer executed an agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense to supply up to 600 million doses of their BNT162 mRNA-based vaccine candidate against SARS-CoV-2, currently in development, subject to clinical success and regulatory approval.
