Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 5, 2024, the board of directors of Datasea Inc. (the “Company”) approved a plan by Ms. Zhixin Liu, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, to purchase, with her personal funds, from time to time over the next 12 months, on the open market or otherwise, up to $3,000,000 of shares of the Company’s common stock at prevailing market prices (the “Share Purchase Plan”). Ms. Liu intends to establish a trading plan with respect to potential purchases and sales of the Company’s shares to comply with the requirements of Rule 10b5-1 and Rule 10b-18 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended,
On April 9, 2024, the Company issued a press release with respect to the Share Purchase Plan. The Press Release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
