On September 3, 2019, Hepion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has received notification from the Nasdaq Hearings Panel (the “Panel”) that it has regained compliance with Nasdaq’s minimum shareholders’ equity rule, and is in compliance with other applicable requirements set forth in the Panel’s decision dated May 3, 2019 and required for listing on The Nasdaq Stock Market.  A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
