SECTION 7 - REGULATION FD

ITEM 7.01  REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE.

         On June 11, 2007, Gastar Exploration Ltd. ("Gastar") announced that it
had drilled the John Parker #3 well in Robertson County, Texas to a total depth
of 13,900 feet. Gastar is in the process of installing production casing to
total depth and plans to complete the well in the Knowles Limestone formation.
Initial completion activities are expected to take approximately 20 days.

         This press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is being furnished
solely pursuant to Item 7.01 of this report.
